Monet's first Famous Painting was of his future wife and was called "The Women in the Green Dress" (1866). He was known for his nature scenes, but he also painted several well-known portraits and scenes with people "On the Bank of the Seine at Bennecourt" (1868), is another famous painting with a person in the foreground of a river scene.
