Ecology is a branch of biological sciences dealing with the interactions between organisms and the environment. Ecology includes both biotic factors, or living factors, and abiotic factors, which means non-living factors. There are five main levels in ecology: (1) Individual, or every living being. (2) Population, a group of individual species living in the same area. (3) Community includes different species in a certain geographic area. (4) Ecosystem, all the abiotic factors and all the communities in a certain area. (5) Biosphere, the whole portion of earth that is being used. Biosphere is the sum of all the ecosystems established on earth.
